Sunday 22nd February:
Workshop 1: How to operationalize human dimensions concepts in angler surveys: theory and practical tests
Aim: To provide high level talks that describe the motivation and theory of recreational
fisher diversity, the different ways by which recreational fisher diversity can be assessed and the do’s and don’t when applying those scales in surveys and in analyses.
Hosts: Gerard Kyle, Robert Arlinghaus, Pourya Sardari, David Fulton
Format: This is an open workshop, but has a maximum capacity of 50 participants.
Workshop 2: A community of practice for recreational fisheries research in Africa
Aim: Open forum to continue the development of a community of practice for recreational fisheries research in Africa, building on recent workshop at WIOMSA 2025.
Hosts: Alexander Winkler and Nelly Kadagi
Format: Open workshop, no participation limit, half-day
Wednesday 25th February:
Workshop 3: Global online recreational fisheries management school
Aim: Continue development of the online school
Hosts: Christian Skov and Thomas Klefoth
Format: Closed workshop primarily aimed at those already engaged in developing the online school.
